    Photo finish Jas,

    Here is my deal:

    MY10 Tiguan 147 DSG
    Black color
    Sunroof
    Leather seats
    Factory carpets
    Factory boot tray
    Premium plates
Warranty extended 3 years (now 6)

For $48,500 drive away, ordered car too, not showroom floor stock.

I think the 147 was a bit more expensive back then to.

    Late Feb...

By their calculation (factoring in onroad costs) it was a discount of $3655....but as you know I'm a bit of a newbie

    Black Leather
    Sunroof
    MDI
    Mats

    $51000 on road

I thought this was a good price, but the deal literally took 5 seconds to make. I told him how much I wanted to pay, the manager said yes, $1000 deposit paid, deal done.

    Thoughts?
    147 - 46k
    Paint - 0.8k
    leather - 3.7k
    Sunroof - 2k
    MDI -0.27k
    Mats - 0.1k

    Total = 52.8k

Looks like you are in front of RRP.
Not a large discount but still a decent saving.

Do you know when you are expecting to pick it up?

Any suggestions on where to do this? I've seen lots of conjecture on APR modifications, so I presume finding a local APR rep in Sydney would be the way to go? Absolutely down with baby steps, looking at your Stg2 story, modifications seem to be reminiscent of tatoos...once you get one, you just want more...and more...and more! (Hence the reason I have no tatoos, because having 'sleeves' in the IT industry is a funny look.

I pick up on Friday, and I'm looking forward to a Xmas Eve drive. Will look at mods after 2-3 months me thinks.

At least you managed to get a 3.5k discount.

    Glad i have inspired some.
I know the Stage 2 blue beast inspires me each time i drive it.

Really, as mentioned above, this is a compromise car for 6 months, I lose my 310Kw weapon, and share this with my wife until my R arrives in June. Thanks for the feedback, you're the one that is responsible for me buying a Tig in the first place, after reading about your trials and tribulations.

    Keep up the good work!

63k is a lot of money to be throwing around for a car with options you may not ever use/need or can get cheaper elsewhere.

My impression of the ACC in the new Golf R I've bought is that it is useful in softening up the stiff sports suspension and you could definitely (in my opinion) tell the difference when taking the demo though the same section of road. So no, from what we saw the Off road and the ACC was really not worth it and we live in North Queensland so it will see its fair share of dirt!
Thanks angry...but like you, I have ordered a fully spec'd R for myself, and this is the wife's car (we're sharing until my R turns up in June). So for the sake of $300 or so, I'm not too worried, and if she ends up at her sisters farm in VIC, she may have a need for it after all)

I guess the point is...happy wife, happy life (yeah, really?!?!). This thing is sitting at a dealers, no wait time, I can get pre Xmas and keep the other half happy. I lose my 310Kw ride in the meantime, but get the joy of a pocket rocket in 6 months time.
