At least you managed to get a 3.5k discount.

You never know, the benefits of the tig may sway you to use it and not bother with the R

    Glad i have inspired some.
I know the Stage 2 blue beast inspires me each time i drive it.
Hmmmm...Stage 2....I likey! Might be able to do a few mods when I send the other half to Melbourne to see her folks! She'll come back and wonder why the Tig is so much more responsive, and quiz me on the new engine sound.

I pick up on Friday, and I'm looking forward to a Xmas Eve drive. Will look at mods after 2-3 months me thinks.

If nothing else, i highly reccomend the stage 1 ecu remap, just makes the car so much more responsive.

Any suggestions on where to do this? I've seen lots of conjecture on APR modifications, so I presume finding a local APR rep in Sydney would be the way to go? Absolutely down with baby steps, looking at your Stg2 story, modifications seem to be reminiscent of tatoos...once you get one, you just want more...and more...and more! (Hence the reason I have no tatoos, because having 'sleeves' in the IT industry is a funny look.

        • Long time reader, first time poster....

          I got:

          147 MY11
          Black (Pearl Paint)
          Black Leather
          Sunroof
          MDI
          Mats

          $51000 on road

I thought this was a good price, but the deal literally took 5 seconds to make. I told him how much I wanted to pay, the manager said yes, $1000 deposit paid, deal done.

          Thoughts?

            147 - 46k
            Paint - 0.8k
            leather - 3.7k
            Sunroof - 2k
            MDI -0.27k
            Mats - 0.1k

Looks like you are in front of RRP.
Not a large discount but still a decent saving.

Do you know when you are expecting to pick it up?

                    Sunroof
                    Leather seats
                    Factory carpets
                    Factory boot tray

For $48,500 drive away, ordered car too, not showroom floor stock.

I think the 147 was a bit more expensive back then to.

                          • With some help from you fella's i ended up ordering a new Tiguan 147 last week, was thinking about a GTI but the extra space and ground clearance of the Tig got me, (hopefully not to much slower than GTI), I had almost ordered a 125 until i found out that free onroad was coming in on the 18/2/11. So i ended up upgrading to aWhite 147TSI, BlueTooth and MDI, Headlight/Bonnet Protectors. no other options. $43k neat on road. (onroad saved me about $2100) VW in Orange.
A 125 with same options would have been $39k. Both MY11, Feb 11 Compliance plates.
This will replace a 2008 Subaru XT Forester. Hope i will be happy.
