Thanks Sharkie good info there. I'm also very keen on the 125 but want to make sure I know what it's capable of before I buy. I also think i'd wait it out for the APR purely for the multi tune feature. I don't fancy having a $2500 Oettinger chip flashed back to stock at the dealers

Could this also be possible with the APR remap as well? I mean could it be even more of a risk, like if they didn't know (because you'd set it back to stock setting) and they flashed the the chip because of a new software version from VW? My dealer sold me the remap with the vehicle, so I'm thinking they're fine with it and I don't need to hide it. But if this is a risk, I'll be putting notes everywhere on the vehicle when it goes in for a service!

In both cases, APR and Oettinger would just be reflashed afterwards again. When the software is uploaded the serial number of your ECU is registered by APR/Oettinger and the software downloaded on to it can just be downloaded again at no charge. Guy can confirm.

In any case the APR program (not sure about Oettinger) includes encryption which means it cannot easily be erased or overwritten by the dealer.

For safety sake I always reset my APR to stock before going to the dealer, but when the mods on my current car got too much I stopped bothering about it and started going to a VW specialist for servicing.

This is probably a better spot for tuning related issues.

            Neuspeed suspension stuff

            Swaybar http://www.neuspeed.com/products/pro...euro&p_id=1998

Swaybar links http://www.neuspeed.com/products/pro...euro&p_id=2020 see how puny the stock links are?

            Neuspeed intakes

K&N panel http://www.neuspeed.com/products/pro...euro&p_id=2038 this will improve breathability a bit (worth 1-2kw) but I'd recommend the intake kit below.

P-Flow Intake kit http://www.neuspeed.com/products/pro...euro&p_id=2049 Now this would make a noticable difference. Think 4+kw

            Neuspeed Driveline

Engine Torque Arm http://www.neuspeed.com/products/pro...euro&p_id=2047 these are worth every cent, protects your driveline and improves shift feel. Very popular upgrade to other VWs. Does not necessarily have to be Neuspeed as other manufacturers also do this. I had 1 on the GTI and it was great.

Haldex. I would not be buying this from the USA. Buy in Oz (APR) and get backup and a warranty. (http://www.goapr.com.au/products/haldex.html)

Link to H&R's site for Tiguan's

They have lowering kits, raising kits, performance coil-overs as well as sway bars (F+R) and wheel spacers.

Actually looks like they have gone to some effort to cater for Tiguans

                    great thanks Sharkie.

Guy is also doing the Engine Torque arm I believe.

Well I'm up for a set of springs now.

I can get Eibach Prokit spring set now for around $600 inc freight, which seems pretty good price (any thoughts on them?).

I've emailed TCCA, not heard anything back. Have you guys bought through H&R US site?

What are H&R's sway bars like? I wouldn't mind a front as well. I haven't ordered the Neuspeed yet. TBH I got a bit of a surprise at the cost.

clip, is this both for manual and auto?

I put one on my DSG Golf and it made a huge difference

Neuspeed prices are a bit scary, bloody good stuff mind you but pricey. I had eibach prokits on the VR6 and they were excellent, very good handling, just not sure if they may be a bit hard for the Tig tho? Depends on what you're after too I guess.

With the Neuspeed swaybar i'm also not sure if you need to buy those big a$$ links or if it comes with some lesser items standard? Would certainly be expensive if the billet links were mandatory.

not sure where you tried, but I have found Ian @ Rennenhaus to be very fair in his pricing and he always provides great service

I did the front and rear on the Golf, including a Neuspeed pro kit (with Koni FSDs), a great package, but just a bit too stiff overall for my long term liking...

                            regards

I'll second that, Ian at Rennenhaus is very good and I also got front and rear nuespeed swaybars from him for the VR6, i think the first words out of my mouth after the first roundabout, post install, was "fark me!"

Don't know Tigga, but just thinking about it now, I might have got it wrong about the torque arm. I know Guy is doing something with one of the engine mounts - not sure if he was meaning the "torque arm" though - I'm just assuming that's what he was referring to.
