Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Please could you post your codings & adaptation channels so I can compare. I followed these instructions on my MY17 Tiguan R-Line:
Activate Trailer Assist - VCDSSchweiz
I had the genuine trailer electrics installed by dealer, so car knows when trailer plugged in, but Trailer Assist never worked. After altering the above coding & adaptations, I now get a message that Trailer Assist is available and to press the Park Assist button when the car is in reverse - once I do that, a picture flashes up showing how to control via the side mirror selector/adjuster, but then an error message comes up to say take control of the steering wheel as Trailer Assist is not available due to the reversing camera being obscured.
I have no idea why this error occurs, as the camera is clean, I have removed the jockey wheel & re-routed the trailer plug out of view in-case it is getting confused.
I did have a problem with the final adaptation change, as Klemme 15 does not appear in the drop down list??
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

I installed speed sign recognition on my Tig. Worked fine for 2 weeks but now getting an error message "traffic sign recognition fault" and a non- erasable fault (U1120) in the dashboard module on my OBD11. Has anyone else experienced this? It still seems to work according to my wife, but have not checked it myself yet.

Tomorrow evening I will dump my Tiguan and investigate the TJA further. Also will do some changes together with a friend who has VCDS/VCP etc.
Like Video-in-motion, DRL's at the back, disable warnings on the Navi, beep at lock/unlock, needle sweep, when using auto climate control see the speed indication stuff like that.
We will also try to investigate and compare dumps to get a hold on the TJA thing. He thinks more coding needs to be done besides the modules13 and 44.

There is option in there to adjust the brightness as well however I haven't changed this setting as it will potentially make the park lights too bright at night time.Current:

It seems your first post is fairly up-to-date with links - perhaps the mods can make this post 'sticky'?Last edited by spacemannz; 02-10-2017, 09:12 PM.Tiguan Highline 162TSI | Indium Grey | DAP | MY18

Just a thought - the US-spec Mk2 Tiguan remote start via the keyfob - is it possible that in *theory* this is just coded into the car with no additional hardware as it starts the engine when triple pressing the unlock button? if so it may be able to be coded in to a ROW spec Tiguan? and thus coded to my Golf 7.52018 Golf 7.5 110TSi Comfortline | Drivers Assistance Package | Retrofitted: Traffic Jam Assist | Emergency Assist II | Light Assist | OEM Vienna Leather Sports Seats with full Highline Interior | Power Folding Mirrors
