I just installed the rhino stealth bars, got them from autobahn for $341 there low profile and don't stand out.

I use Blackvue cameras and have a DR500GW HD in the front and a DR450 GW HD in the rear.

Reason The rear camera in a 2ch setup is lower resolution than the front one. I had a Dr350 in the rear and it couldnt read number plates so ditched it and bought the 450 which is HD like the front ones.
Is much better now.
as far as the cables are concerned i ran mine along under the trims inside the door sills and into the rear quarter and up the taildoor seals to the camera

THose prices are pretty exxey in that link Would only take 2 hours at the most to install a 2 ch 650

I second the blackvue is the best camera. I hooked mine up today, DR650 single channel took 20 min.

Can anyone recommend a decent affordable roof rack and snow ski carrier combo?

Is anyone considering professionally installing a dash cam in their Tiguan? Or have you installed one in another new car?

With all the cars on the roads these days, I think having some form of security is good. It is a shame that insurance companies don't lower your premiums if you have one installed.

I'm thinking of installing a Blackvue DR650S-2CH mainly because of its small footprint. What are your thoughts?

Would installing it void new car warranty?

Interestingly I have found that VW in Singapore offer the the dash cam as an accessory:

Probably a dumb question but why don't manufacturers just integrate a camera into their cars? How hard can it be to make it look complete?

Hey folks, I saw an ad come up in my facebook feed for towbars and noticed that they sell/fit a retractable tow bar, which reminded me of the one that you can get fitted by VW in Europe.

I know its not everybodys taste to have it, but these slimline ones looks like a good compromise

I'm getting the slimline weathershields put on, they looks pretty slick actually. Only getting the driver and passenger ones. $220 for the pair, got $120 off after bargaining. Picking up the car on Monday.

Im definitely looking to have one installed. I currently have one but the cabling is a bit messy.

I can't see how it would void the warranty, it's the same as having a car kit installed which was common practise a decade or so ago.

I think it's only a matter of time before cars have them built in.

Yesterday I downloaded a German accessories brochure (for all of their models), and at first glance it looks the Australian brochure has all the items that are in the German brochure, except for the "electrical towbar", we don't have that one either in New Zealand.
