I bought the rear bumper load sill protector bought from the dealer.
It's actually a really nice finish and (i think) looks great

You'll definitely save by buying after market, but much more hit and miss on getting one that fits and looks good I would think

What sort of $$ is the dealer asking for the protector?

I've got a quote for $300 to get some of that clear protective film applied to door edges, door cups.and rear boot strip. I'm thinking that isn't a bad deal.

I got a heap of quotes for paint protection and tint. One of them had the following paint protection film as an option:

Solarstyle | Paint Protection Film (PPF)

I'm just waiting on my delivery date to book it in.

(The Pom quote was just far to excessive when compared. For less money than just the Pom I'll be getting tint, paint correction, opticote + baked on and this protection film.)

I’ve got a new 162TSI r line w/ S&V in white being picked up on Monday. Got a call from the dealer worried about a mis-spec. Sent a photo that looks like the new AID. Should I be concerned? I’m assuming that it’s the My19.5 build, which means I get the few extra upgrades and inclusions as well. Hopefully DLA and traffic jam assist.

Also getting gtchniq ultra done to it on the following day. Very excited for a new car.

Cant upload photo from here, but it’s definitely the new display.

- TJA has been standard since the 18.5
- not sure what DLA? If dynamic light assist in curious if this is similar to the Golf R or if it's the same DLA as every other Tig where the lights swivel around corners?
- also keen to see if it is the new AID or not (you can download Tapatalk and it's easier to upload a photo or upload it to Imgur and post the link)

They gave the ballpark $1800-2200 depending on the condition of the factory paint and how much correction was required.

I'm sure it a quality product and the prep and application would have been perfect. I just can't justify stretching the budget even further to get tint on top of that.

The dealer sent me a photo, and it has the oil and fuel gauges always on the side and a smaller screen.

I meant the dynamic light assist, specifically with the adaptive high beam, but also the corner lights. That is what I am curious about.

I keep thinking about all the nice automatic stuff the car has that mine doesn’t. Though I used the tray on the dash for the second time in my cars life to hold a burrito. Finally found a use for it.

Now it’s a speaker. Probably more useful.

What’s the name? I can track it for you.

The boats travel to Oz via South Africa for offloading and loading other cars (some Euro cars are made in SA)

Is this on all ships or just an isolated incident ?

The bugs are pests and get onboard the ship or from the cargo (cars, trucks, machinery). Many ships have been affected so they have to travel to Singapore for heat treatment. This adds another 3-4 weeks delays.

Got a call from our dealer this morning saying he had one in Sydney at the docks and should have it up within the week.
