Hi Pete8oes, don't be silly as I was about to ask you if you had heard anything? I was told yesterday I am about 2 weeks away from picking it up. I was hoping it was going to be picked up next week but oh well.

I ordered it end of July 2017. Got delivered 31 Jan. Dealer called me when the car arrived at the dealership, he said we have a problem, the car has a sunroof. They said VW made the mistake as the order does not have a sunroof. After some negotiations they finally agreed to give it without any extra charge. I suspect the mix up may have happened when VW was changing from MY18 to MY18.5.

I’ve not heard from anyone who has the same combination of no traction control button but still have the badges.

We’ve got a NOV 2017 build R-Line with no traction control button, engine badge deleted from rear tailgate.

Has 2 x USB, 1 x 12V front console
1 x USB rear console

Did the dealer give a reason for VW deleting removing the traction control button in the latest MY18.5 ?

What is VW saving ? 50 cents ?

I made an order for a 162 Highline with DAP in Feb - dealer says expected delivery late June.

Anybody else get their "very own website" with the car as a generic website that updates every time someone else orders a car?

I'm in WA and have ordered through DVG VW Melville

Hi Pete8oes, so I have an update, the car is ready this Friday but we are away and won't be able to pick it up for a little over a week unfortunately. Sounds like you could be driving yours late next week with any luck!!! I have decided to not worry about paint and leather protection through the dealer. I am really sitting on the fence on whether to get it at all and just keep up the cleaning and waxing at the local car wash. Argh it's been the hardest decision so far haha!

Thanks Nevs, you gave me hope Feels strange being so close now. I agree and have taken the same route, I will look into leather protection over time also keep up the cleaning/waxing/polish up myself. I will let you know how i get on. Cheers!

I've just ordered this. From what I can see the product is good (glass not ceramic) and it's $19 with free shipping for the trial.

If I like it I'll probably get the 3 year version which also seems a bargain at $139 and uses Curing rather than Adhesion (I assume that's important). They're also a snap to apply.

Just picked mine up last Monday. Ordered Nov 2017, long 3 month wait. Well worth the wait. 132 Comfortline dap+lp.
Any recommendation for paint protection? In Sydney.

Hey Nevs, any news? We picked up our new Tiggy yesterday. Build date 10th Jan 18 so got the 18 plate. Very impressed and just starting to learn the tech, traffic sign recognition was already on which was surprising

do you get the speed limits immediately or do you have to pass a speed limit sign first?
And do you get a "limited functionality" message for sign recognition a few minutes after you start driving?

Just popped up on my nav. Its accurate and seems to always be correct. No limited functionality nag either.

I also have the traffic icon on my home screen, the dealer said its ready just waiting flr vw to release it soon. He said should be released and will be enabled on our tig at our first service
