I have ordered/received my New Tiguan

Ordered late November and expected the car in April but now possibly March. We always knew we were getting the MY18 but wanted a 2018 build and not 2017. The dealer down here in Melbourne has been great and more than helpful.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like I went to the back of the line again when I rejected the "I'm on my way" car back in November. Pretty annoying as it is the dealer stuff up, not mine. That was when they gave me the April delivery date.

Just had a call from dealership, checking if I want any extras. Apparently delivery is imminent and I was told 16th for predelivery last week. Getting hopeful, BUT my question is re the track n trace. Notification still says ‘discharged’ Doesn’t this mean still on docks and yet to be ‘delivered’ to Patricks??

Just got an email with my warrantee certificate for my window tinting.
Didn't know I was having them tinted.
But that must mean that the dealer has the car.
Sent a query to my lease agent who says that the car is scheduled for delivery middle of next week.
That ties in closely with your delivery date.
WWL tracking still says 'Discharged' though so not sure what is happening.

Sounds like we are in (and possibly on) the same boat. Ours are definitely MY18 builds which was the important bit for be........ please let me know how you get on if you could

Built on 9th of January mate, how did you go? I have been advised by dealer the car should be here (Melbourne) in March so you will be in the same position.

Thanks mate very helpful update. sounds like we are in this together. I was originally told late dec delivery, then moved to late Jan (delayed our road trip), so im staying away from proactively contacting my dealer as my experience so far has been 'sub optimal'. Its hard to stay sensible when you keep getting the run around. I will update here when i get 'that call' to advise a new date

Lets hope ours are delivered in 4ish weeks which seems like the average on this forum

Hi. 10th of Jan or Dec. I have so far received 2 updates. Both from Volkswagen Australia, one said 'i'm built' and one said 'im on my way'. Given I ordered my car after it was built AND probably also on the ship, as cute as it was it seemed like a button pressing exercise by the dealer. So I would check with them. good luck

Hi all

I’ve ordered my new MY18 Tiguan Adventure 132TSI DAP + Sunroof + extended warranty in Black and have a delivery date of the end of this month. Official logged in delivery is saying 9/2 but Dealer (interstate) is saying EOM. Fingers crossed I get it by 5/2 before going back to work! Ordered over NY so appreciate my wait is a lot less than others here

Yep Grand Hero, and also one of the cars that got held extra long by Agriculture for additional quarantine. I wasn't expecting to hear from the dealer until later this week that it had been released and was going through compliance, they obviously moved fast once it was released.

Yep Grand Hero, and also one of the cars that got held extra long by Agriculture for additional quarantine. I wasn't expecting to hear from the dealer until later this week that it had been released and was going through compliance, they obviously moved fast once it was released.

I am in Canberra too, but getting car thru Sydney dealership via lease company.
Got much better deal thru them as Canberra dealer did not want to negotiate.
Being trucked directly to me when ready.
But still haven't heard from dealer though.
WWL tracking still says 'Discharged' so still not sure whats happening.

Hadn't seen many around Canberra, but a lot more recently.
