I have ordered/received my New Tiguan

Guys, I can confirm its not dodgy dealers, or at least in my case anyway.

I have screenshots of my Nadcon before and after the slippage and the Unique ID of the vehicle stayed the same.

To be certain, I confirmed I was looking at the right number with another dealer when I contacted them to see if they might have an earlier R-Line.

My original Importer Arrival ETA was mid August, now its mid October. I was told by both dealers (and on various forums) its all to do with the company that makes the R-Line front bumper body parts being unable to keep up with demand.

So if you dont want want an R-Line your wait times are substantially less....anyone confirm?

Now I'm going to go back to sulking!

I suspect that it's not dodge dealers.

I suspect that demand > supply and possible delays in manufacturing - way out of the dealer's control.

In any case, I had good dealings with a SA dealer and would be more than happy to share his details.

I ordered a Highline 162 and received it in about two months. I didnt order the R-Line because the wait was huge for that. He was up front with this.

I had a very small issue with my delivered vehicle and he is rectifying the issue at his cost.

I couldnt be happier with the service I received from my SA dealer.

And for the record, I couldnt be happier with the car itself. It drives well and as I keep saying, I cant believe how much tech is in it. One advice for any budding buyer - get the DAP!

Ordered my tiggy my18, fully optioned last month, eta jan/feb 2018. Melbourne dealer was upfront with the delays/eta.

Hell on a wait but good things come to those......

I agree - its not the dealers. I think its the factory giving poor information.
I am pretty sure it is something to do with the R-line option as the dealer tried to talk me into maybe going without the R-line, but no way as it really makes it look heaps better IMO.
I am not upset about the delay as such, it is more about the bad management of expectations.

Order in Feb with delivery expected July - OK I can live with that - 5 months is still a long time to wait but worth it for the car
In May when it should be gettin on the boat and I ring the dealer for an update (not him ringing me !!) - "Oh no it will be October now" - that's 8 months.

Hi all newbie from Melbourne here.
Just reading tnrough the comments with sweat dripping down my forehead.
I've ordered my black R line fully loaded on the 23 of April with an ETA of early August.
The dealer send the "order confirmed" email last week and he's telling me that i have been allocated a car.How come some have been waiting for 6-7 months and still no car?
I'm i been played in thinking that will be getting my car in August.

When I was looking in mid April it was good timing as I could have got a my17 black fully loaded tiguan in 10-14 days! Decided against it as the dealer was asking too much.. Rather wait til the end of the year and get the colour I wanted. Fingers crossed for you popeye.

Full size euro is $295 non custom I think? That's what my dealer charged me. Hope I didn't get ripped off!
