I have ordered/received my New Tiguan

I just got a welcome email as well - 3 months after I got the original email from when I ordered. It has a different teaching number imbedded in the URL.

I haven't cancelled my order or anything like that. I hope my dealer didn't sell my Original order top someone else and the. Put a new order in the system in my name?

On the up side maybe they have converted my MY17 order into an MY18 order which generated a new tracking number?

Anybody else gets new welcome email today?

I must say the communication is poor regardless of the cause.

Mind you my order was put in a month ago today and i had the first welcome email 2 weeks ago.

Question for the knowledgeable.
When you get the "I am build" email do you also get the details of the car as well i.e vin ,engine number etc

At what stage do you think they have this available.
I know that at my place of employment 😊 when the order is confirmed at the factory the vehicle is then alocated a body number and a build sequence number that are all tied into the vin.It is all pretty much available to the customer( through the right channels) at the "order confirmed stage".
Would that be the same with VW ?

From what I've read the VIN is available at stage 8 of the build also know as handover to sales. For me this happened 6 days after the I'm built email, I know this from a Nadcon screenshot from the dealer that had the VIN on it as well as this date.

Have you received the built email yet? Screenshots from Nadcon can show quite a lot, here's the one from my first order (which lead me to cancelling it as the delivery time ballooned from what was initially promised).

Jesus mate 8 months from order to arrival plus all the shenanigans of the dealership i don't blame you.
So are you getting an MY18 delivered a bit later?Or you gone to a different dealer?

Went a different dealer, now the car, MY17, is built and at the docks at Bremerhaven waiting to board a ship, should be driving it sometime the 2nd half of July hopefully

Bugger, give the dealer a call asking for an update and why you got the welcome email again 3 months later?

Just got the response from the dealer. There's nothing sinister apparently and I quote "You can pretty much ignore the automated emails
from VW with this particular model Colin", which doesn't always fill you with confidence. Still got an ETA of 16th Oct 2017 at this stage, which has slipped from the original ETA of mid July, given when I ordered the car on March 11th (this was a car the dealer already had on order allegedly). Of course I have no idea if or how long the dealer actually had it on order, so can only continue to wait patiently like everyone else. I see a white R-line the same as I have ordered, every Saturday at the rugby and that just rubs it in a bit.
