Received my VIN today......Sorry to brag!

A few of us can up the ante on bragging this week. About 65 highline and rlines on the Don Juan which is currently of the south coast of WA. Yours arrives into Melbourne on 7/1 then the remainder are off loaded in Port Kembla on the 10/1. A few of us have cars on this boat so should expect to have them by the end of January.

I am on that same boat.. I thought it docked in PK on the 9th? Anyway my lovely dealer is arranging for us to receive by the 15th.. cant wait for that and excitement is definitely building.

Edit: Just checked tracking and its saying PK on the 8th.. Anticipation is killing me.

whats your thoughts on this? It's about a $4-$5k discount. Is this a good price?
i have never bought a new car so quite an experience negotiating and figuring everything out!

Great to see all these amazing reviews of the 162- not long to go... by the way I am in Germany right now and I can tell you seeing these LED daytime running lights of the Tig approaching from the back on the Autobahn gives me goosebumps every time - keep the reviews coming

Welcome Paddydash, Price is great, and car you have chosen will be awesome. Since you are not a person who buys a new car everyday.. I'm assuming you will keep this bad boy for a while, so just an idea..

For an extra ~$4K, you can get the 162TSI + DAP.. this includes all the luxury features but no sunroof.

But you do get above the comfortline:

- Improved media headunit (I think its called the discovery pro model)
- LED front lights (changes the look of the car a little)
- 18 inch wheels (instead of 17)
- and more power from your engine 162 vs 132KWs.

I think there is a bunch of other little things.. anyway, for me, if I could have gotten the Comfortline 132 with LED lights, I would have got that.. but only way was to get the highline. This may not be an issue to you which is cool!

Looks like the first one is in Victoria - Waverley VW and the second in New South Wales at Tweed European Volkswagen. Incidentally, the NSW dealership also has a Pure White 140TDI R-Line for sale as well.

Check your dealership to see if you are eligible for corporate discount - normally this just needs a letter from your employer or demonstrate that you have membership to one of their approved organisations. I managed to get about 8K off the RRP of my Tiguan

Does anyone know if there are any 162TSI fully loaded with R-Line, DAP and Sunroof on this shipment?

Can't tell from the manifest if there Loaded rlines on this shipment. Just that some of them are 162's.

looking back at the posts of others who are waiting on the Don Juan I would suggest that these cars are simply highlines and not rlines

Got a screenshot from NADCON a few days ago from the dealership and my fully loaded R-Line has moved from a May delivery to early April (car looks like it will be leaving the production plant on the 27/01 and arriving in Melbourne on the 22/03). Looks like there will be a whole lot more R-Lines on the road come April.
