Yeah full package R-Line White. Thing is they still haven't quoted me a price. I honestly don't think I'm the best to go by but my salesman reassured me that it has been order. Paid deposit.

I'm afraid if I asked I'll get a null response. He is getting back to me tomorrow with more details. I reckon every dealer is different. Some might get on the first shipment the rest will be mid 2017.

Salesperson rang me today. My car's on the water and ETA Melbourne 7th Jan.
Don't know what's going on with your dealers.

There are around 65 Tiguans which so far as I can tell are all high lines on that ship. What you can't see is if they are Rlines or not. Mine is due at that time too and I have the VIN and have checked the shipping number. Mine is a non Rline.

I am attaching two images that was emailed to me by the dealership one in early Nov and the other early Dec. Within the space of a month the car has slipped 3 months! - note the images that states that ALL 162s have been delayed!

Spoke to local VW dealer and it looks likey I will be placing deposit tomorrow for 162TSI highline with DAP for $52.35k with Jan delivery. They had a pre-ordered vehicle that was going to be a demo but are willing to give it to me and they said it had been built. Will only pay deposit if they can give me a VIN to be sure.

How can that be? A lot of us, including myself have received confirmation that the cars have been built and a VIN's have been received- if these cars are built then why would it take another 6 months to delivery? I really would like to know what's going on here

Unexpectedly I received an e-mail on 23rd November saying it was built (suspect I may have received either what was going to be allocated as a demo or a cancelled order??). I have since asked for and received a VIN number from the dealer. I have tried putting this into the shipping tracker (https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/) but it comes up with 'No Records Found'.
Anyone know how long after being built does it take to ship?

my VIN came up about 24 hours after the car was loaded in Bremerhaven, just as the boat was scheduled to leave Germany. So just try to use the VIN every couple of days and it will pop up. Good bit of luck with your timing by the sounds of things. When is your car due to leave?

I called my dealer last week and he gave me a VIN and confirmed my car was built on the 17 Nov- I have been trying to track since then but no luck either

Looks like with this model patience is everything. No idea when it's due to leave but will keep checking every couple of days (yeah right, we all know that actually means I'll be checking every couple of hours )

You can refine the search a bit using the att.2global website. Presuming your car is coming into Brisbane you can search the schedule for Bremerhaven to Brisbane. If the VIN is not currently coming up then you can assume it hasn't already left. Look for ships coming to Brisbane then in the period from early Janusry onwards. I think the cars delivered into Brisbane come by Panama meaning they have about a 50 day travel time in total. Those coming to Melbourne via Africa are about 15 days quicker to arrive. You should be able to identify two or three ships that will depart Bremerhaven for Brisbane over the next few weeks then just check your ViN against those on or around the departures dates. I narrowed my car downn to one of two shipments - turned out it was on the first boat and now sailing past Portugal on its way here.

Doh! forgot about snow chains and the Highline Tiguan has 235 R55 18 tyres. So after a quick look it seems the only chains that will fit are the Thule \ Konig K-Summits spider chains which automatically rules out Hotham (even though I plan to really only go to Buller & Falls). Not sure it is practical for me now as one role I needed for this car was to drive up to the snow in Vic
