When I track it is shows 'delivered from' on 12/10/16
Am I correct in assuming it left the docks and went to the dealer on 12/10?
It will probably take another 2 weeks before you get your hands on the car.

Nice one. They're all the reasons why I decided to go with the 162TSI as well.
Also thinking about changing my order for these reasons. I do less than 20k per year also and only heard about the Ad Blue thing recently...i didn't know about it and couldn't believe that you need to add another solution to the fuel every 1000km?

So after calling my dealership this morning after being told to do so 2 weeks ago to check up on the status of the car, I was told that they would call me back in 15 minutes to see where the car was at. Come 3.30pm nothing... so I head into the dealership to see what was going on. The salesman who I spoke to hid in his office knowing that he forgot. I then had another salesperson come out and tell me that the car is now due end of March even after the paperwork and system showing that the car will be a week 47 build. A very poor effort from the dealership with communicating this to me. Surely it does not take 4 months from the car being built to delivery!

What is this myth about AdBlue you talk about? 1000km for refill is crap. I have the same set up in my Q3 Audi and the refill requirement depending on driving conditions is more the 10,000 to 12,000km mark. Refill is as simple as pulling up to a servo which sells it at the pump and filling, no harder than refueling.

Polo GTI's were out to nearly 12 months at one stage, my 162 was ordered last week which I believe is the first dealer order cycle and I reckon that if I see it before April I will have done well. My son's Golf Performance took near enough to six months from whoa to go. I am going to get a drive of the diesel highline with DAP at the end of the month and if I am happy with the power I might change and go for it.
I just got an email from my dealer to say that my 162TSI R-Line (which is in the first NZ shipment to arrive) is now due in at the docks here in NZ on the 29/12/2016. They had told me at the start of the month that there was potential delays and it might be coming in Feb/March. Since they have now given me such a specific arrival date I assume this means they now have confirmation of it shipping. How long would it normally take for a boat to come from Germany to NZ?
Current Ride: 2019 CUPRA Ateca in Energy Blue with Bucket Seats
They are made in Germany, the LWB version with the three row seating is set to be built in the Americas. That's good news NZ_GolfR, as we are the next stop from NZ, so our January estimation would be on track

Doesn't matter if its 10k or 20k, why should we have to have a bullcrap additive to reduce emission to make the car compliant with euro 6? Adblue is the cheapest way for them to make that standard so why should we pay more for something that doesn't have anything to do with us?
The only mixing I do is with my 2stroke enduro bike
The worst thing about needing to fill up with the AdBlue is not that you have to pay for it, it's what happens when you don't end up topping it up after you have run the car after several warning reminders....
Basically it won't let you start the engine until you top up lol!
So you go grocery shopping. Turn engine off. Go shopping. Come back and say to yourself "ok now it's time to get this AdBlue s**t". Turn key or push-start... WTF! Why won't the engine start???!!!
Hi guys, I have ordered a 140TDI in the black with the DAP. Got a quote locally (Darwin) as well as from down south. Best quote originally from the southern dealers even with shipping added on. The local dealer eventually came to the party and gave me a slightly better deal in the end. Ended up paying 51.2K. I'm being told it was off the boat on the 10th October and on its way up north...
