What's the normal operating oil temp? I just checked via the digital dash and it showed 107 degrees

Probably about right until you go up a hill Ive never looked as inconsequential in the scheme of things as its dependant on ambient temp traffic conditions etc.
I check oil regularly and as long as its Ok thats it

When I park in the garage after a drive, there is a distinct smell. Smells like plastic burning. Noticed this both time I parked in three garage.

Just a new car with new plastics etc settling down You do realise several engine parts including the SUMP are plastic and get fairly hot
One thing I do is always leave it locked even at home. Then the electrics dont sit there half awake thinking Is he coming are we going somewhere. If its locked they go to sleep virtually.
Its just another new car and dont worry about little things

Ours does that too, sometimes worse than others. These cars run hot to reduce emissions, and my view is that it is normal. Still does it after 11 months/13k km. Most noticeable when you walk past the bonnet in closed garage.
For anyone interested I have confirmation (from dealer) that dynamic light assist is standard on my20 highline and part of the driver assistance pack for comfortline.
Got a call from the dealer yesterday afternoon, my new MY20 Allspace R-Line has arrived. They now need to install the tow bar, mud flaps and window tint.
Should have the car within the week.

Does it have rear mudflaps as the short Rline doesnt as VW dont list them and I havent been able to find any elsewhere Also they do have privacy glass in rear and rear doors

No, there are no rear mud flaps available from VW, only the front.
I am aware it gets privacy glass, but it does not provide protection from UV, so I’m having clear UV protection applied for the kiddies on the privacy glass, and tint on the front windows to match the rear.

Here you go adapted a set from Aliexpress They needed a bit of trimming and use of a heat gun but fit perfectly now Only cost $60 for 4
I only used the rears cos I paid the horrible $117 for VW fronts

Well, I picked the car up at 17:28 last night just before they shut the doors. Wow, all the tech is going to take a while to get used to.
My 10 year old was blown away that the adaptive cruise slowed us down as a car in front was turning, then sped us up again (so was I actually, quite wierd the first time).
Have driven 350k today into Melbourne and unfortunately the fuel gauge has an issue (probably software related they tell me). The gauge is showing full the whole time and the distance to empty has varied from 60-95k, even on a full tank.
This stuff happens, I’m not concerned, what matters to me is how the dealership handle it, and they have been excellent at Warrnambool VW. I will drop in for a software update when I get home tomorrow.
The car is great to drive, doesn’t have the raw appeal and lazy torque of the 6.2lt I was driving, but I am enjoying it.
Still cant upload pics, sorry.
I have been searching other threads but can’t find what I am looking for, someone asked about making the two round dials smaller while you have the map activated in the AID. I am sure there was an answer for this, but can’t find it. Anyone know of the top of their head?
