Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Happy to guinea pig again on the Gen 2 Tig, although if it's offered in the Highline, it's virtually a given that it'll work!

In fact, have one lined up already if I go for a Comfortline or will sell it if I end up going for the Highline!

Have decided and signed up today for a GLA250 instead.

Accordingly, will be selling this steering wheel and just wanted to give my fellow Tig members the first dibs at this.

This will effectively give your Comfortline (Steering Wheel), the flappy paddle upgrade to a Highline!

PM me if interested, otherwise will post up in the proper sale section.

That's a pity, sad to leave the Tig fold? GLA250 an interesting choice .... I've been looking at a GLC250 and X3 as well (both 2.0 petrol turbo as the tunes out now are comparable with a 2.0T VW tuned). Pricing is quite similar too .... which says a lot about where the R-Line equipped 162TSI Highline is priced ......

I was thinking this exact thing the other day. VW are aiming too high - isn't that what Audi is for in the VAG line up?

Similar? A fully optioned 162tsi is $60-$63k drive away. A GLC will be $75K at least before any options won't it?

I too am looking at X3's even it's a near new second hand but that too will be above $60k.

GLC250 with corporate discount was about $71K (with no options and even less if you buy at the right time and discount fairy smiles on you), but that includes 3 years free servicing etc .... so yes, a bit more but then you have a MB and not a VW .....

Exactly my reason mate and happy to share!

Paying $8K more for one with AMG line body kit and drivers assist.
No waiting and 3 year free service sealed the deal!

Yes very disappointed with VW lack of real choice.
Wanted a fully pimped up Comfortline with R Line.

If you are forcing people to a highline, then this is what fricken happens!
Might as well get a proper premium SUV

Yes ... Sad to leave this group once and for all, once I trade her in.

Will have no reason to maintain my custom POIs also.

              • Will Brochures be released before the release of the new Tiguans. I have an electronic UK brochure but I know the Australian version(car) will be different in terms of spec and options.. Also will the Tiguan have the LED illumination like the Golf R? Sorry for the Q's I'm very keen to see this car in the flesh!!

Highline models have the interior ambient LED lighting if that helps?

Autogefühl have just put up a 44 minute video review of the R-line 240 hp BiTurbo TDI (which we won't be getting) for those interested.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfhkZ_tqDVQ

Definitely no Head Up Display even on the Highline and no off-road version with the higher front bumper clearance.

That's fine by me!... Both are options I wouldn't have selected.. Would love a high end audio, and choice of fabrics in the R line... and I do like that electric tow hook!!

Highline gets "Electronically-adjustable driver’s seat" as standard and the Luxury package for Comfortline models adds the powered driver’s seat function too.

No idea if it has memory function.

When the hell are VW Australia going to release the full specs? Do they even know the full specs?
