Any dealers with display cars yet ? I was told the 15th was the day but now told everything delayed by a week. Interesting re above and Melbourne, this may well be the cause of the delays.

How did you find out about the Melb cars ? Where on the website ? I know how to track an individual vehicle but interesting to know this detail.

Hi Flappa,

I search the 2wglobal website using the first section of the new Tiguan's VIN i.e. WVGZZZ5N - then sorted by date and clicked on one of the VINs that was coming to Melbourne - in the top hand corner it states that there are 217 items - I assume that it would be 217 cars.

Makes for very interesting reading . . . assuming of course I'm looking at it correctly. 110 Offloaded in Port Kembla 12/8. 374 Vehicles due to be offloaded at Port Kembla on the 27/9 - Elektra , currently just leaving Zeebruggen. That should be, at least in theory, the ship with mine on it. Waiting for the VIN from the dealer.

Just spoke to the sales guy at my dealership and he told me that the 162TSIs should be available to order in the new few weeks and that the Comfortlines will in the showrooms over the next few weeks.

Hi, keen to purchase a new highline 162tsi with R line pack. I came across this article on a VW New Zealand dealers website today which talks about the Discover Pro being a 9.2" touchscreen in their R-Line model. Does anyone know if this screen size is available? I understand Aus Tiguans will be 8", but curious if this is a misprint or if NZ is getting some newer nav system.

Looks like they get the heads up display - we don't get that on the Australian model.

No surprise ... in the 1st Gen, they were the only one that got the R Line.

Whereas we the poorer cousin, continue the tradition of getting the poverty line.

Given that it is available in other RHD markets, I think I'm going to wait till that (and the 7 seat option) is available.

At least it finaly has folding mirrors.

Can't believe that wasn't a standard feature on the Gen 1.
