Got the RSB fitted today, woohoo.

Car sits flatter and I can keep the DCC in comfort without feeling I'm commandeering a boat.
The only negative is the front shock mounts rattle a touch more when driving on poor surfaces.
Will get around to changing them when they really bother me.

Btw for those in SA, Callum at Haine's Mechanical & Detail is a top bloke.

Good to hear. Have you noticed turn-in is sharper? And the back actually wants to follow the front now?

Unfortunately after installation, I didn't get much chance to get a great feel for it due to high levels of traffic. Looking forward to testing it out on eagle sometime soon.

So after waking at 4am and unable to get back to sleep, I took the car for a good drive on familiar roads in the hills and backstreets.
The car sits a lot flatter with much less understeer. There were a few times where I literally shook my head at the difference the stiffer RSB made.
More importantly I have not had to change between different drive modes for stiffer suspension to reduce bodyroll.

Great mod, wish I came across it earlier.

Personally I never found sport mode comfortable. Too firm for daily driving and the only time I would use it is on smooth roads.
The RSB doesn't affect "firmness" of the suspension

I am getting used to the Tiguan's handling. I find it somewhat wallowing & the Sport mode too firm.

Currently running with an individual profile where DCC is standard and all the other elements are in Sport. seems to be a good fit.

Am trying to work out if a rear sway bar would help. Am not looking to replace springs etc.

I had the same sentiments as you.
I drive in Individual profile and set the DCC in comfort but everything else in sport.
Hated how the car wallowed and leaned in all corners with the DCC in comfort.
Found normal and sport too jiggly/firm for my liking.

The RSB has definitely reduced the lean and understeer.
I'm not going to go with any springs as the car will be my wife's daily driver soon.

The only issue I've had since installing the RSB is the front top shock mounts rattle noticeably more over "jiggly surfaces" and some bumps so will look at getting them replaced.

The guy who installed the RSB quoted ~$400 including labour.

ADDIT: The one thing I would mention about springs is to look at variable rate ones (like Eibach).
I caught up with Tigger73 who has Eibach springs in his car.
His ride in DCC: Normal is more comfortable than my car in DCC: Comfort when driving over small to medium imperfections in the road. This is because his initial compression rate is softer than standard.

Thanks for that veew . let me know how you go with the top mount fix. I may go down the path you have.

Yes I installed on my driveway. I did jack up the rear of the car/put on jack stands as I'm lowered and gave a bit more room to work. You just need to drop it on the ground when doing the final tighten up of the bolts on the sway bar/end links.

Ta. Just need to figure out which one to get now. Probably one of the 24mm Superpro or Whiteline bars.

Best off getting a kit including the aftermarket end links as the stock ones are plastic and will flex/break with the extra load.

These go on sale reasonably regularly so you can save 20% buying at the right time.
