Yes the new R600 air filter is a decent upgrade from the foam unit that came with the intake originally.

For the brakes yes painted with the Foliatec caliper paint and it's just as good second time around.

    • Mk7 R rear brake upgrade is complete!

For reference this is a direct bolt on upgrade. Swapped over calipers and kept stock lines as they were in better condition.

Been looking to do the same, actually.
What did you use to fill the holes?

                Screw cap covers from Bunnings:
Taskmaster 6 - 8g White Snap On Screw Caps - 12 Pack | Bunnings Warehouse

I would recommend spraying them with a custom colour from Supercheap who will mix up spray cans. I used touch up paint but the finish is not so great.

i'd never have thought to use those. I currently have bumper plugs coming to me in the post, but may look at alternatives.
                      thanks for the inspiration!

Yeah the good thing about bumper plugs is they come pre-painted.

The only bad thing about them is that they stick out a bit from the bumper as they are rounded rather than flat.

To do it properly I really need to get a spray can of paint matched paint and spray a sheet of stickers. The finish on the stickers will then be a lot better but from 2m it still looks OK now.

This is the result you get with a can of colour matched spray paint and do it properly. The finish on the sticker dots is pretty good and only thing you could do better is to take the bumper off and get the holes filled and bumper sprayed at a crash shop.

It just depends how far you want to go. This is the $50 solution.

Yes from a couple of metres you do really have to look hard to see them.
