The subframe removal is not required when fitting the downpipe, just need to loosen to get get downpipe in and out.
On the red carpet, it is an old piece of carpet from the house I put in the garage so I don't slip when the floor is wet as grage floor is epoxy coated..VW Tiguan 162 TSI Highline w/ R-Line & DAP. Pics and details
Downpipe
034 Motorsport Dog Mount Insert
Dyno Time
Dyno Graphs
Stage 2 final power output
Stage 2 vs Stage 1 (Note that the 165kw graph is not used as it dipped at the end because of the transmission playing up on the dyno)
Stage 2 vs Stage 1 vs Stock Power Curves
Stage 2 vs Stage 1 vs Stock Power & Torque Curves
Only drove back from dyno home in peak heavy traffic and rain, Melbourne weather has been ****e today.
In sport can hear dsg farts now even with stock muffler, throatier sound all the way through the rev range so sound better overall. Will see how cold start and sounds once it beds in over the next few days. No time to do any sound clips or videos today, will see how I go during the week.
The dog mount insert has made everything feel a lot tighter. Stop/Start is very firm now and hard acceleration feels alot firmer, dont get that shunt in the driveline when coming off hard throttle...Last edited by INASNT; 17-07-2018, 09:30 PM.Tiguan Gen2 162TSI Etuners IS38 Stage 3 238.6 kw@4 wheels

Was a lot louder but a nice sound. Lots more induction and exhaust noise during hard acceleration, even in normal mode can hear the dsg farts now, cruising at 100km/hr same noise as stock system which I like.
Got an check engine light driving this morning which is caused by the O2 Sensor and new high flow CAT, coding fix will fix this which will get done tomorrow. From the picture of the dump front pipe hangers you can see the end of the hangers are close to the frame, it vibrates slightly at low rpm so getting that sorted on the weekend, other than that really happy with the stage 2.....
Discussed IS38 swap yesterday, supply (new), install, retune will be around 3.5k with the current mods I already have and will see somewhere near 230-240kw@4 wheels. With a larger than IS38 turbo will need intercooler, fuel pump, plugs, coils upgrade..Tiguan Gen2 162TSI Etuners IS38 Stage 3 238.6 kw@4 wheels

What are your IATs like with the added boost, etc. ?
Generally FMIC upgrades are because of high IATs not so much air flow, unless it becomes a restriction and you're getting pressure drops from In/Out of the core.
Also, I wonder if that slight bump in the torque curve is caused by the 4 Motion sending power around. Similar thing happens on Skyline GT-Rs when the Attessa goes mental lol.Daily 2018 Tiguan MK2 Sportline (Drag & Drop Tune, 12.9s @ 108mph)

Cant recall the IAT's, I know the actual temps were input into the dyno dynamics software for the power calculation. If you want to cheat you can put in 100 degree or higher intake temps when actuals are 70-8- degrees which will give you a higher peak reading.
Bigger turbo would generally mean bigger cooler, did the same on my Skyline many many many many years ago.Tiguan Gen2 162TSI Etuners IS38 Stage 3 238.6 kw@4 wheels

Generally I use the weather station for the ambient temperatures and use the IAT for the compensation tables (fuel and ignition), IAT should not be used to determine overall power figures haha..
That's cheating
I know certain shops would disconnect their ambient temp probes to read higher power, anyhow that's off topic
Bigger turbo doesn't mean bigger cooler, smaller turbo with big boost would generate much more heat than a bigger turbo with lower boost (where both turbos are supplying the same amount of airflow).
Sorry for all the questions, I've never tuned european cars so it's fascinating. I predominantly help build and dyno/road tune Jap siet boxes for friends and forum members as a hobby.Daily 2018 Tiguan MK2 Sportline (Drag & Drop Tune, 12.9s @ 108mph)

There are many shops that fudge dyno numbers, I have seen some put ambient temp sensor on the engine..
I am waiting on the guy that did the IS38 swap to get some dyno numbers.Tiguan Gen2 162TSI Etuners IS38 Stage 3 238.6 kw@4 wheels
