Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Went into my local dealer and they said there’s very minimal spec changes for MY19 Tiguan. I’m pretty sure all models get pedestrian active safety option. There’s also a new blue (same blue as current Jetta) if that floats your boat.

If you can get a good deal on a MY18 I’d jump on it. 1.8% finance on the non-Highline models is pretty attractive at the moment.

Other thing to keep in mind is that it looks like the Sportline may be discontinued for MY19. Salesperson I spoke to said that they brought the Sportline out when there were major shortages of R-line to fill the need people had for a sporty 162TSI. Not sure if I beleive him 100% because it's basically a povo pack 162TSI but either way it looks like it may not be in the line-up going forwards.

Tried to look up which blue and couldn’t quite tell. If you know which, or have seen images of the Tiguan or Jetta in this colour, mind sending a link?

It's the same blue as the new Allspace - it's called Blue Silk metallic.

                  It's the end of May

I would have thought the MY19 Tiguan specs would have been out by now ???

When I bought my Sportline I was told there was a shortage of R-Line leather seats, body kits and the digital dash (whatever it's called) which led them to bring in the Sportline for a small order. Suited me fine as I didn't want any of that and ended up paying only a small premium over a standard Comfortline

They are. Virtually no change. Pedestrian collision avoidance is standard and there’s the new blue silk colour.

The big change is introducing the Allspace 7 seater onto the range.

Ok thanks. Spoken to a couple of dealers this week and best info they had is one of them saying “we would’ve been notified by now if there were any significant changes”

The MY18.5 already has "Front Assist with City Emergency Brake (City EB) and pedestrian monitoring functions"

Is the Pedestrian collision avoidance something different ?

If it is something different, are you able to activate the Pedestrian collision avoidance via a VCDS tweak on the MY18.5 ?
