So my wing mirror got scratched, so I wanted to get it repainted. VW dealership recommended a paint shop, went there and the idiots damaged my mirror cap and the wing mirror indicator lens. The guy came up to my car with a bunch of screw drivers, jimmied them in there and broke everything (indicator lens tabs and the cover tab). I thought they would know how to take the damn thing off without breaking it. It literally took me 30 seconds of googling to find how to take everything off properly 
. I could have broke it myself and the least I expected is as I said, for them to either know how to take it off properly or know not to take anything off and just paint the damn thing while it was on the car!
Anyway, they repainted it and then they stuck it on somehow. I drove around for a couple of months with it and then one day it just fell off... surprise surprise. Anyway, I went back to them and at least they agreed to replace the indicator lens without any questions, but it still cost me 200 bux to get a new repainted cover and now I got a quote of like $180 bux for 2 hours labour to replace it. I thought, nah, how hard can it be, drove home and started pulling the whole thing apart.
To cut the long story short, I didn't manage to figure out how to dismantle the side mirror enough to be able to replace the indicator lens.
Has anyone done it before? Anyone know how to do it?

Many thanks! I found a slightly different way than using a bone tool, you can literally push the black bottom plastic away with your fingers away from the indicator lens, it's pretty soft plastic, then it kinda just comes out. Take your time to get acquainted with all the bits just to learn the limits of everything to make sure you don't break any extra pieces.
