  • Kombi beach . . . . Cactus

    G'day groovers,
Yesterday I took my yellow '08 Kombi Beach 2.5TDI (auto), to get a new exhaust manifold etc fitted. After 293k it had warped and done the broken stud "thing" so all studs get replaced ($4,700 + for any studs that need the 'easy-out').

    I've owned it since...

  • Hello everyone. Have i made a mistake.

I wasn't even aware that such a special vehicle as an R36 even existed. I didn't buy one (will buy one in the future) but i bought a 2012 passat V6 wagon, close to an R36. This thing for what it is, has unbelievable handling i can only imagine how much better the R36 is with the suspension being 25mm...

  • Anyone know how to remove the air inletmanifold on the AXZ engines (V6/VR6 FSI)

Was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to get off the air manifold on the AXZ engines (one piece manifold not like the later R36 manifolds) - seem to be some kind of metal pipe running in front of the manifold securing it in place, I think I'v gotten loose all the bolts, but still seem stuck -...

WA 3 bears track 155 tsi R Line

Tackled the 3 bears track from cape naturaliste to yellingup, set the tyres to 20 psi, traction control off, comfort mode dampers. The entrance was probably the hardest part of the track especially not knowing if i could make it through the soft sand and then some rocky limestone. It took two hours...

    WA Newbie

Hi, moved on from my 7.5 R and took delivery of a Tiguan R two weeks ago and am loving it so far. Just wish I could have optioned it with the Akrapovic exhaust, am missing the crackles and pops. (Which is a sad thing for someone of my senior years to admit to!)

    Am looking forward...

    G'Day all

I have recently purchased a second hand 2102 Touareg. I will be on here looking for all those things that I may want to do to this fairly stock vehicle.

    1. Can I replace the spare with a full size rather than the silly thing that is supplied
    2. How do I update my maps (not sure...

  • DIY: modifying the front headrest of a 2018 Passat so it can be fully lowered

The first thing my partner said when she sat in the passenger seat of my newly arrived 2018 Passat (132 TSI) was: "How do you adjust the headrest?" She's 5'5" (165cm) and the headrest was too high. So, out came the manual. I swaggered around to her side of the car, full of confidence....

  • Polo 1.2 TSI Sport select DCC and knocking sound from the rear

    Hello.

I have this DCC Sports select in my 2015 1.2 TSI 110 HP POLO.

The thing is that i had a knocking rattle sound from the left back of the car.
I then changed the shock absorber and i still have the same problem. The strange thing is that when the DCC sport select...

    Identify Nut

Probably a longshot but can anyone identify where this 10 mm nut could be from? It was in the undertray when I removed it to change oil. Smooth back, no serations. Can't find any thing loose or obvious spot for it. Could have flicked up off the road but very clean.

    Hello from Germany

    Hello everybody,
i come from germany and have already modified quite a few things on my passat b6. Basically, most of the relevant control units are already built in from B7. The only thing missing is the on-board control unit (BCM) and the engine control unit.
