Pad And Disc Wear
Amazing brake wear. Mk 6 TDI about 7 mm of pad left and minimal lip on disc after 15 years and 130,000 klm's. Even more so when you consider the car was a demo for first 6000 klm's and I used it for Euro parts deliveries for the next 12 months! Original pads are Jurid. Automotive Superstore at Castle Hill has Vemo brand for $163. Vemo are a German company and probably used by VW. After all it's the oem part that is now failing so it's better than $240 from dealer.... -

Good luck with the alternator pulley. I recently tried to replace mine on Golf TDI whilst I had access doing a cambelt change. Could not budge it. Snapped two special tools of mine and one borrowed using a breaker bar. They all broke right near the tip. Hopefully you get bet a better quality set. I'm...Leave a comment:
