Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

      Yeah, they should be paying us to take them off their hands.

      Come on! It’s a 10% discount! It’s got more equipment than my MY15 R has and costs less than it did.

              How do you get it to idle under 1k rpm in sport on the DSG? My R sits around 1100 rpm. Maybe a GTI/R difference.

                Can anyone please confirm if the 7.5 maps have traffic information (eg. just like BMW's iDrive / Google Maps showing the road as red for heavy traffic)?

                    traffic information can be enabled via an OBD11 code change but even then doesn't show the road as red for heavy traffic

                          Asked dealer when I picked up my GTI last week, apparently not supported in AUS. =(

                            The advice is not correct...the system does work in Aus including showing heavy traffic.

                                I enabled traffic on my 7.5 R via odb11, works well showing red line for heavy traffic. Also waze on android auto also works.
