Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Question I still have is why would the drive away prices vary so much between dealers? Is that normal?2017 - Golf R 7.5 - Blue - DSG - Proper Roof - DAP - Res' delete - Dynaudio delete

I was keen on upgrading to the 7.5 just for the tech upgrade. But I figure may as well hold out until the MK8 while I wait I may as well go stage 2/2+ or 3/3+ even *rubs dirty hands*Current:
2023 Mk2 Tiguan R - Lapiz Blue
2015 Mk7 Golf R Wolfsburg - Limestone Grey: Stage 2
Gone but not forgotten: 2008 Polo GTI Shadow Blue

Hi All,
I was out shopping this morning for a Tiguan R-Line for the wife and kids and while there we saw the new Mk7.5 R, it is a really nice looking car. All of the issues I had with it previously which resulted in my purchase of the S3 sedan are resolved in the Mk7.5, the larger display screen, wheels are great, and black trim around the bottom of the car all make this thing stand out. Even the blue color is now more blue compared to the previous version which had more purple in it (to my eyes anyway). Test drove both cars, and kids were comfortable in either, our eldest daughter is 5ft 10 already so was concerned about the Golf but no issues. Soooo... now the wife and kids wants the R instead of the Tiguan - less wait is a bonus however she will have the digital dash and a faster car than mineThe negative would be the speeding fines I no doubt will be paying. So now just trying to get a great price on a fully loaded R.
In the photos the car hadn't had the full clean done and still had some of the shipping tape on it (apologies for the poor quality photos).

How can the blue be different? Hasn't it always been 'Lapiz blue'? You'd think they could keep it consistent?MY16 MK7 Golf GTI
