Yeah I hear you MR T, its also getting near M140i territory, there are some really tempting deals on the S3 now, but it would some instances be a compromise(albeit a good one), an Indium grey 7.5 R is what I really want and if I'm going to outlay close to 60K on a car it has to be the one I'm set on, i was also looking at a Wolfsburg as they already have the DAP, Pretoria wheels (although in grey not black) and the Dynaudio which from what I understand can't be optioned on the regular R at this stage, but again no Indium grey option and I'm really not a fan of the Carbon leather look (personal preference I know), plus with limited no.s equals even less chance of a decent discount, I'm happy just to wait till there is stock, if current order delivery times are sep-nov, I may wait and get a 2018 build, who knows by then the Dynaudio might even be on the option list for the regular R, best of luck.

They can't give it to me before the release in july 3-4 so should have it in 3 weeks

I ordered in early may and need the car a.s.a.p as my daughter starts her job in early july and i am giving her my mark 6 highline
so i was bargaining with my hands tied got 1k off and tinted windows thrown in but thats all
I knew i was getting boned but meh wanted that model and diesel with all the 7.5 updates so sucked it up
Much better than getting stuck with a golf 7 highline diesel even tho i would have saved heaps on a runout model
Mate at work has one nice but not a huge upgrade on my mark 6
Plus with the new wheels i am putting on it will be a nice looking car

Looks nice, was look at Skoda superb 162 and Passat Wagon. This might be better option, boot space 50lt smaller than others

Called into the dealer today to see the display 7.5 Golf Highline (with R-line pack). First impressions are the interior looks cleaner and classier. And the tumeric yellow paint is stunning in the metal, IMO.2018 Golf GTI, Manual - gone.
