Maps and POIs for Discover Media

... Should i wait longer for it to search?

Sorry no experience with Discover Media and POI's but my Discover Pro can take a couple of minutes before it shows an error. Seems to be quicker when it works

That one worked for me and is what I used to figure out what I needed to change/update to get my POIs to work.

What type of computer are you using to write your SD card? I use a Mac but strip the .DS_Store files when I write to the SD card.

Thank you all for the tips. I'm still having trouble to get it to work for my my18 tiguan with discover media (not the pro). Any hints on how I can resolve this. Keeps saying error wrong source even though it says software update available when I insert the sd card.

Just managed to get this working for my Discovery Media. I copied the contents into several different folders so the system had no chance of not finding it.
Uploadfiles.io - MyPOIs.zip
unzip and copy to a USB.

Still no luck for me, I wonder if it's too so with the sd card i use. So user a USB stick is better?

I used a regular sd card formatted to fat32 in sd card slot 2. I had the usb at the ready too but didn't need it.

Make sure you have the file called "metainfo2' and the folder 'PersonalPOI' on the root of the USB or SDcard, whatever you are using. I use usb as it is easier to go from PC to car.

USB is Fat32
Car is Tiguan My17 Comfortline with Discovery Media.

Did not work on mine, extracted as shown to root of both SD card and USB.

Sorry to hear that, The only other thing that comes to mind is going back to the previous MAP and trying again. I did not install the new updated map that you have 'DiscoverMedia2_MRM2_2718_1010' as it doesnt support Traffic Messages.

Nah, didn't work with the previous map either (USB and SD).
Same error message.

Every time I plug in the USB or SD card the unit says "software update available", but when I update the MyPOIs, I get the same error message.
Feels like either the update is somehow not enabled in my unit or because there is no internal memory (HDD or SSD) in my Discover Media it cannot update. My unit has the map SD card and reads it from there.
