What Accessories are you buying for your MK7 Golf?

Matt: There's been lots of chat about the "performance" function in overseas sites. The facility can be added retrospectively and it does need a coding change to the 5F unit (with a VCDS cable). But unfortunately it also requires a change to the firmware of the infotainment unit, which is a dealer thing.

I might ask about it when it goes back for the warranty work next week. Otherwise I'll just have to fire up my DashCommand app again.

Got burnt a few times with Ali Express, I wouldn't go back there. Maybe a can of spray paint will do the job..

I can highly recommend the OEM window shades for anyone with little ones. Pricey, but they're great.

I bought it from Aliexpress, the quality is ok, not as good as the oem. It is around 60 dollars with free shipping. It takes around 30 days to ship it over.

That would be good to do but my Driver's side one is currently held together with Superglue as it got knocked off the mirror (copped a light knock to the very far too and it was enough to crack it apart). Externally it's perfect but internally it's a mess.

I doubt it will come off the car neatly and, even if it did, I wouldn't be prepared to hand it over!

Installed the Door warning light with Volkswagen logo projector last weekend.

It was around 1 hour jobs for 2 front doors. Need some soldering and VCDs setup.
Remove the 2 front door card is pretty straight forward. I recommend to have a friend to give you a hand. The outcome is pretty good.
