Not sure if these guys ship to Aus? But might be worth checking out. Can't be too many of these around.....

No dramas, always happy to help - just provides a decent local price option v imports.Originally posted by popcorn View PostCheers, might take you up on that in the future. I'm still on stock 16" biolines (machined face, grey back) on a mk5 Jetta but when my RE002s run out of tread, I'll seriously consider upgrading. Btw excellent work on this thread, I'm sure many mk7 owners appreciate your efforts!
And cheers re: the thread.
Thanks - I'll lodge a request when it becomes the most viewed Mk7 thread.Originally posted by xxtrickzxx View Post
Very true I've found this thread so so useful, heavens knows why this thread hasn't earned a sticky yet!
Not really familiar with any USA freight forwarders, although there are plenty around now. I remember quoting up with someone on wheels and it came to around $450-500, but cannot recall who it is (and whether it was reputable).Originally posted by donweather View PostAnyone know what's the cheapest way to ship rims from the US? I'm in no hurry so don't care if it takes 2mths +. Just need something cheaper than the US$660 quoted to me from the rim website for 2-5 day delivery to aus.
Anyone heard of or used these guys?

Would be worth researching generally - not just car forums - for USA freight forwarders and check on who is ok.
Again if you find anything out would be good to see your findings.
Deutsche Auto Parts have a decent rep on the USA forums, but they won't ship here = see above.Originally posted by Wezza View PostNot sure if these guys ship to Aus? But might be worth checking out. Can't be too many of these around.....

Cannot recall if ECS do them, but if you've got a big budget then Guy's got those nice Oettingers; if your budget is smaller than it is worth looking at the TSW Spa (per post #284) which I think is a beautiful take on this style and comes in 19 x 8 ET45 for only around $1,120 a set.

Well guys, I have just ordered my new wheels.
Volk ZE40 in Matt Blue Gunmetal. Size 19x8.5 +44 which is the same size as my previous wheels.
Except that the new wheels are much lighter and stronger.
If I dont like the gray/blue colour I might have to powdercoat the wheels in black.

If anyone is after Rays/Volk Wheels, contact Mickey at Tyrepoint Hawthorn 03 9819 5700. This guy will give you an excellent deal.
I wont list any pricing, if you're after a quote call him.

Agreed with the bodykit. Reminds me of the 4th gen Subaru liberty after the mid-life update. A very pretty car but fake vents in the bumper just make no sense to me.Originally posted by Dutch77 View PostBBS SR - REVISITED

Can't say the bodykit is working at all, but this shows off the alternate finish on the BBS SRs I discussed previously - a diamond cut finish in line with the usual VW OEM style.
Very pretty wheels in the exact specs and finish I want!
