And no, I am not saying I am feeling these wheels either. The number plate on the other hand..
Best. Plate. Ever. As for the wheels, I rate them right up there with the 918 Spyder's dildo patterned jobbies. Not quite full retard, but close.

An OEM classic. I'm kinda disappointed VW hasn't revived these for a special edition. They're infinitely preferable to the mess we get lumped with on the 40th.

Anyone have any experience with MAK wheels or know of any other wheels with a similar style?

Been looking for these style myself recently but I see them referenced as RS6 types and not S3 or A3.

VW Ruby aka Brescia aka the Infinite Mess.. I like it. The name, not the wheel.

Me still thinks there will be around 500 sets of these going for free on the classifieds soon as owners upgrade to.. anything else. Even 918 Dildos.

            • The 52 Tarmac are growing on me, don't work on a wagon though - still think the OZ

Do you know what the weight is like compared to the Cadiz? If they're cheap and light enough I'd be tempted to get a set I can thrash on the track before I get something decent.

I'm assuming they'll only be coming here as 19s, if they're only on the 40th?

I reckon they can work on a wagon but to me that old school look is going to be best suited to a very low ride aka stance look.

I don't think anyone has had a crack at weighing them but given they're 19 x 7.5 ET51 wheels I'd take a stab and say they're a fraction less than the Cadiz but nothing worthwhile.

Perhaps they are heavier than an anchor - lol - I notice Kunzmann in Germany who are a usual source of all things OEM advise they are not recommended for the 63kW and 77kW Golfs. Clearly they do not have enough power to overcome the weight.

And yes these fugly wheels are 19s only and hopefully banished to history quickly - the wheels we needed were the lightweight forged 18s made by Fuchs that the Euros get as their STANDARD wheel.

If VAG were smart, they'd have shares in aftermarket manufacturers and clip the ticket on both ends
