They definitely suit the Mk7s - I would likely revisit them if I was running a Mk7 again.

I'm interested in having a second set of wheels purely for occasional track use for my MK7 R.
If you were looking for some relatively inexpensive, fairly lightweight, but durable wheels, what would be your first bet?
I don't mind second hand.
Not too fussed on what they look like.
I'm thinking 18", 8.0-8.5"?

A set of OZs would always work a treat but their price point isn't 'inexpensive' - I think for low(er) price and low weight from a reputable supplier it would be hard to go past something from Enkei?

As a bonus they don't look too bad mostly, definitely a purposeful tuner/race feel to them.

I should probably add there is always the option of supporting a local name like ROH which traditionally was Falcodores and off-road but these days do some reasonable wheels as well. The Korsa in 18 x 8 looks good and comes in under 10kg, and should be under $1k new at a guess.

No probs - otherwise just keep an eye out on the classifieds here and elsewhere for a quality second hand set.

As long as it isn't a set from the dodgy East Coast on-line retailers of cheap Chinese knock-offs then happy days.
