Hi all,

I ordered a MY15.5 Golf R in Lipiz blue with all the fruit, including sunroof. I was originally quoted delivery in May/June but got a call today saying someone had cancelled exactly the same car and it will be available mid/late April.

I've been comparing the Skoda Octavia RS, Renault Clio RS and Golf GTI/PP and Golf R.

The wait on the Skoda was at least 7 months which is just insane and no adjustable dampers like the Golf. The Clio RS was a ball of fun to drive, but too small and cheap feeling inside.

This left the Golf triplets and after driving them all back to back, I couldn't go past the AWD and extra power in the R.

My last turbo car was the twin turbo RX7 and I can't wait! First VW too.

Got the phone call from the dealer to say my car is now off the boat and I should have it in a couple of weeks. Not long now and I can't wait!

Just ordered yesterday:

Golf GTI Performance 169kW 2.0 TSI 6 Speed DSG

Deep Black Pearl Paint

Driver Assistance Package II including blind spot monitor and rear traffic alert

Vienna leather appointed seat upholstery

Front two windows tinted 65/35 to match rear

Wasn't too keen on leather but didn't want to wait and this one was just about off the boat so I should be able to get it within 2 weeks.

Pretty excited, will be a nice change from the current transporter van!

I couldn't believe my luck. Everything pretty much fell into place last Friday. So a deposit was placed on the 10th for a Manual GTI with Sunroof etc.

It'll be at the dealer early next week, ready for me to pick up by the weekend.

Now to sell the Polo GTI.........Anyone interested/know anyone who might be?....there's probably a section for sales here where I better ask this....

Hi agentthumb, interesting to hear you have ordered a Golf Wagon with DAP2 - was told by vw carsales that only DAP was available. Also, noticing on the VW website build and price section that only DAP is available for the Wagon, and DAP2 for the smaller Golf. Where did you order your Wagon from?

Hey mate, ordered mine from Cricks highway auto.

Definitely has DAP2. They have been available since mid January I believe.

Go back to your dealer, get them cto look up the car you are ordering in NADCON and confirm it has the order code PZH against the driver assist package. (Assuming you are ordering a highline or comfort line). If it shows PZA, you are getting DAP1.


Ps. Which dealer did you go to? Sounds like you need to try someone else. Mind you, I had to educate my dealer about DAP2, they didn't know either. I had to tell them to look up the code as well.

Hey riffraff, I'm assuming your car was offloaded in VIC? How long is it taking before it gets to Brisbane?

Mine lands in ViC on the 9th of May. Trying to get an idea on timing. Thanks in advance

I think mine was on the Asian King, which is in Brisbane today...

If you go to https://www.2wglobal.com/webapps?url...uickSearchPage and put your VIN in the Cargo ID box it tells you which vessel it is on, then if you go to http://www.vesselfinder.com it will tell you where the ship is

Oh is your car getting dropped off directly in Brisbane?

Mine is on the Figaro, off loading in Victoria for some strange reason...

Anyone know if this is normal? Or have I got the wrong vin number? Car bound for Brisbane being off loaded in VIC?

Finally took delivery of my GTI last Wednesday! Black, DSG, DAP2, Sunroof, Leather! Unfortunately the delivery seems to have coincided with the Sydney storms which has discouraged spirited driving. Have to say I'm loving it though!
