Can I also ask what your 'delivered from' date was on the 2wglobal tracking site? curious to see what the Patricks turnaround is like as of recent times.

Ship berthed Port Kembla 3am 17th (last Tuesday). I pick my Tdi up next Wednesday in Canberra.

@zapsplat, last date I saw in global tracking site was 11/03. It was ready for transport on 16/03. Ready for delivery 17/03 Canberra. I wanted to take delivery today. This is pretty fast turn around time since it got off the boat.

Mine came on the MV Tonsberg which docked into Melbourne on the evening of March 2nd.

Took delivery today.

Exact same specs as zapsplat minus the towbar (and Victorian plates).

please show us a picture of your mirrors and how the blind spot is shown to the driver? Is it a orange light on the mirror? also does it look like there more sensors on the back of the car? how is this feature working?

Car got 'Delivered from Port Kembla' yesterday (Guessing yours was too @PBJ) - so I presume it is now with Patricks for compliancing. Contacted the dealer today who confirmed it would be delivered by EOM (at least 15 days early!), hopefully sooner depending when they can get it trucked up to Sydney and fit the OEM Towbar. Aiming for, albeit in my head, delivery late next week.

Hey zapsplat, I've asked my dealer about where my car currently is now and they said they haven't received anything from Patrick.

Got the same unloading date as your car but the dealer wouldn't confirm whether I'll see the car this month...

I would love it before the Easter break but I'm doubtful they'll push to get my car to me anytime soon as they're not really making much money on my deal lol

I have no idea what's going on. What I can assume from my emails with the dealer is that he will get notified when the car is officially 'built and complianced' and will let me know then when the eta is on the date.

Envisaging early next week for that communication, if not I'll be asking him to log into the Patricks portal to check. I know it can take upto 4 weeks but from what I can see shouldn't be too much longer for turn around. If we're both in the same boat (pun intended aha), then it's more likely that they just haven't got to ours yet.

Keep me updated if you do hear any progress and I'll offer the same if I hear anything =)

Well, this weekend I put a deposit on a new Mk7 R... Lapiz Blue, with leather, sunroof, tinted windows, driver assistance 2 and personalised plates... Due to arrive in the country at the end of April for pick up beginning of May. Didn't think the budget was going to stretch to the lofty heights (for me) of an R, but the dealer made it irresistible, and said if my current Golf sells on carsales before the new one arrives they'll give me a loan car for free until my R arrives So now commences the wait...

Congrats on the purchase! Won't be long till you make the wait even longer by tracking ships movements from country to country like most of us end up doing...

From what I've read on here, I'm under the impression the dealer can't communicate directly with Patricks, only VWA/VGA can. That said, they can still log into the portal to check on the status. I am led to believe they may get communications or an update when the car is complianced and ready for transport.

From reading the other recent experiences on here (thanks for that info guys!), it shouldn't be too much longer. I assume transporting may come down to pot luck based on economical logistics (waiting for filling a truck to a dealer than a half empty one), but again I have to wait even after that for the towbar to be fitted I've been keeping my phone on me, and checking my emails constantly today just in the off chance....

Oh what! For some reason I thought your car was bound for Canberra. Lol so in that case, we at least know our cars will get a truck filled up quicker since there's at least 2 going to North Shore Volkswagen.

Now for what I know. My guy told me that they get a daily report outlining which cars are ready for transport, mine didn't make it today. Our cars go to a central pre-delivery centre before being transported to the dealer. I don't want to scare you but my car may only be in my hands by mid-April apparently. If so that's pretty pathetic but whatever.

I did ask if they could check the status of the car on the dealer portal but they didn't think there was any point. Maybe I'll ask again later in the week.

Certainly that is the case for me - selected a 110 Tdi on the ship - landed last Tuesday, pick it up tomorrow. So the dealers are getting those cleared first I am guessing.

I bought mine on this discounted deal so that's why I'm worried / suprised at the suggested delivery times. I'll call up my guy today and see if the stories line up. I'll try and ask about the portal to see if it will get delivered before the March deadline.

Just called my guy. Mines in the holding compound and they've requested the vehicle to be delivered and waiting for logistics confirmation to give me the date after booking in the tow bar work. Again should be there before end of month, but even if not they'll honour the discount.

Edit: I just got the contracts with the confirmed engine and vin numbers. It was complianced on the 19th last week so I would imagine you would have a similar scenario @PBJ.
