Been nearly 10 weeks since I ordered my MK7 R and dealer still can't provide me with a build week. Keep saying it's on track for October delivery, which I find hard to believe if they can't even tell me when it's planned to be built?

I just spoke with Orix who told me if a ordered a MK7 R DSG with leather, sunroof and DA it would be delivered in mid October.

Just been advised yesterday that expected delivery won't be till mid November? Noting that some of the members here are getting your deliveries in mid October, are there two separate batch of shipments coming?

There will be ongoing shipments of vehicles, it will usually depend on what specs you want as to when a car is available (as unassigned stock or factory order).

Look on the bright side: while a wait till November is painful, it's nothing compared to what some others have been waiting for currently and in the past.

Just received a call from my dealer. Apparently the car has an estimated arrival to Australian docks on the 22/10/14.

So i'm now guessing an early November delivery if this is accurate?

If that's a docking date in Melbourne then yes, first week of November would be an accurate estimate.

I put in my order for a Mk 7 Golf R with DSG, Sunroof & Leather early May. I believe at the time there was a cut-off for orders to around mid of May for the next shipment out of Germany. Early June I got the VIN off my dealer and have been able to track the shipment of my car using the VIN to cross reference to the name of the Ship it is being transported on. The ship should arrive in Fremantle today, making it's way around via Melbourne to Port Kembla on 8th Aug. From there roughly 10 days for compliance plating, transport etc to sunny Canberra another couple of days for detailing etc and hopefully I will get to drive it out of the dealership during the third or fourth week of August

I ordered a Highline in January 2014, still waiting and all I have thus far is build week 30 and may turn up Sept / Aug. 9-10 months wait!!!

I suspect someone over in Deutschland forgot about my order for 4-5 months. Not happy

Mine arrives soon in Melbourne 16TH of August Night Blue Golf GTI MY12 Performance pack..... pick up in September since I will be OS. I have ordered the Helix Audio system which is now available in Aus, Tint, Drivers Assistance Pack also adding a Pure Highway 300DI DAB unit and Focal Splits.
