At long last my MY2015 manual Golf R, which I ordered in April, built in July, has been loaded onto the Tongala at Zeebrugge, Belgium, and due to arrive in Melbourne on 30/09/14. I'm curious why my car didn't board the ship at Bremerhaven, Germany, where it originated from, which is much closer to the production plant in Wolfsburg. Anybody know?

Hey Mikey1, as I suspected my R's also coming on the Tongala Don't know why they're boarding our R's at Zeebruggge, pretty sure when I tracked my MK6 GTI it loaded at Bremerhaven.

Picked up my Lapiz Blue Golf R 2014 MY15 optioned with DSG, leather, sunroof & Tints at Gerald Slaven VW today. Ordered early May, car left Bremerhaven on the Tortugas on 26/6/14 and arrived at Port Kembla on 9/8/14 via Fremantle and Melbourne. Felt a bit sad for my Mk6 GTi though which I have to sell.

Ordered Golf R fully optioned in Lapiz blue. Estimated delivery December 2014. Dealt with Kurt at McGraths Sutherland, a genuine guy who gave me a top deal.

signed contract for MY15 Pearl Black GTI DSG with leather today. It is on boat which arrives 27th August for delivery ~10th Sep! I want to swap the stock 18s for 19 Santiagos from a PP model. If anyone is selling santiagos let me know!

Wow nearly 3 months. Dealer told me 2 weeks! !....hope he wasn't having me on.

Just popped up on Track and Trace. My R is on the vessel 'Tulane', due to leave Zeebrugge on the 28/8 and arrive in Melbourne on the 11/10. So still banking on early November delivery.

My MY15 comfortline golf wagon in limestone grey is finally in my hands.

Very happy with it, great practical car with a touch of class compared to its rivals.

Andrew7 they use Zeegbruggee because of the volume of cars going out.. looks like a bunch of R just have been off loaded in Melbourne. Mine is sitting on a ship in Auckland. . So my wait will soon be over

Thankyou. Yes it does indeed and is worth the 2,200 option in my opinion for the added extras for some visual/cosmetic changes
for those not wanting to spend the extra 15-20k on a R.

Having just sold a 330kw rx7 and a 99 wrx to buy a house and this vehicle, happy with the looks for a while and keeping my license!
