Mk7 Golf Video thread

I don't usually post on the Golf forum, being a Polo 6R GTI owner, but I came across this footage of the Golf Mk7 Wolfsburg assembly line that readers might find interesting. What struck me was how quiet the assembly line was and the almost balletic nature of the robotic assembly.

Anyway, that's enough arty waffle from me, here's the video:

Interesting to see (around the 4:40 mark) Mk6 and Mk7 Golfs being built on the same line at the same time. And at around 7:50 you can see US-market Mk6 GTIs at the quality checkpoint next to the new 7s.

What a magnificent advertisement. Tugging at the heart strings. I wish this pathetic, politically correct world, would allow more cars ads like it. Bet it will NEVER be shown in Australia! Lets just enjoy the car when it gets here!

There were soooo many Mk7 Golf ads that were incredibly funny and well made. People are people and the one with the Golf-loving dog so I can't imagine who the idiot was who chose the "I'll take the Golf" ad.

Yes the "I'll take the Golf" crap ads are a great reminder of the what's happened in Australia. Even the Mazda "zoom zoom" ads were too much for the cardigan wearing politicians!
