It has slammed the brakes on twice with me has a really bad sound like grinding metal on metal when it does it
I think it is a good thing but for my driving can be a bit to much of a nanny

I've had this when the car thinks I'm "undertaking" a car in a turning lane and get on the brakes. 9 times out of 10 it sees the car as stationary and all good.
Undertaking as far as I know is not illegal in Australia (NSW anyway) so should really be disabled IMHO. I tend to disable ACC or have my foot ready to accelerate.
I clipped a gutter with the back left yesterday in the car park, took the left turn too soon and got a bit of gutter rash. 3rd time I've done something stupid. Having a shocker. They are only minor but ****s me to tears.
Hope you got the guilty party's details, my heart goes out to you. How many panels?
Rear bumper and rear quarter panel. Pretty minor, but it’s bent/dented them slightky. Was a hit and run. Buuuuut, I rang the shop it was parked in front of, and they’ve got the CCTV footage, with the guy’s rego.
Light Buzzing Sound From 7.5R Dash (throttle body?)
Getting a light buzzing sound (appears to be coming from driver's side dash/engine area) around 2,500rpm (constant buzzing whilst at 2,500rpm) on my 7.5R (stock). Buzzing sounds isn't soundaktor as happens on any driving mode (comfort, eco, normal and race), outside this rev range sound goes away. More noticeable when driving on quiet roads and car is in a low soundaktor setting (comfort, normal etc).
Car was in with local dealer today to investigate. Happens that an Australian VW rep was there at the time and they concluded this was a normal throttle body/flap sound and were willing to demonstrate a similar sound being present on another r line they have.
