Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Wouldn't surprise me. When I ordered my 7R at the back end of 2015, I was told that if I wanted a blue car (which I did), I would have to wait for the Wolfie production run to end as it had priority on the lines. Now, I was never able to confirm if that was porkies or not but I asked 2 QLD dealers and got similar-ish responses plus a national fleet. Just couldn't source one quickly.

    Therefore, the Dynaudio supply being constrained due to the Wolfie is quite likely IMO.

      The whole 'virtual cockpit' thing (as in, navigation where the speed dials used to be) - is that a standard feature, or do you need the DAP?

      I've also been told 'expect Q1 2018' from 1 dealer for new R orders.

          2008 - Mazda 2 - (Maybe my first child scared me a bit) -1998 - Wrx (modded up to but not including forged pistons)
          1988 - Corolla TwinCam - (couldn't insure a 323 Turbo)
          1967 - Tonka Tip Truck - Red with 2 inch plastic rims and a massive sand scoop.

            The virtual cockpit is standard on the R, wally.

              Wow...that's a long time , I ordered my Wolf hatchback with sunroof few months ago, originally was suppose to come Aug/Sep, spoke with a dealer few days ago and he did mention there could be a delay but not till March.

                As in your delay means your car won't come until March?

                          Well done, Eyes. Looks "Lapiz" to me. And I like the "Spielbergs", despite popular opinion - a little less standout than full chrome finish, but a lot easier to keep clean.
