Dub addiction in springvale sources them. I spoke to them few weeks ago and said slight updated design coming out and should have some shortly. They said price roughly $1000-1100.
You can also get direct from USA but think price roughly same.
Does the JB1 have feature to remove the CEL you will get with the DP?
Without a specific stage 2 tune I wouldn't be upgrading the DP.
Plus I'm guessing you got JB1 to possibly avoid warranty issues, if you're getting CEL it may flag something changed on ecu leaving trace and more work to make stock if any warranty work needed.
I have my JB1 tune arriving Wednesday along with GFB diverter.
Intake is already done so I think dump pipe is next on the list.
I have seen on some of the S3 forums that installing a downpipe sometimes removes the dreaded metal on metal (wastegate) sound. It would be interesting to hear your experience when you get it.

Just food for thought.
No it does not have the ability to remove the CEL however I have a bluetooth ODB2 device and an app on my phone that allows me to view and clear any errors. I also would get the spacer with the DP so it wouldnt throw a CEL in the first place.

That's ok then. I thought about getting this DP but being on APR stage 1, I found out $395 to go stage 2 with other brand exhaust and add installation looking at $1750. I want to wait and see results for stage 2 and if APR will release tune to take advantage of the hardware with higher torque for people with DSG software. The US tune deliberatley restricts torque to under 540nm as seems thats limit on stock DSG software.

Yeah thats a fair call.
Well the Burger Motorsports JB box is now installed and all I can say is wow, what a difference! The car is far more eager now but retains total smoothness through the rev range. On fullboost its an absolute weapon and I can raise boost levels slightly higher should I feel the need. I am worried about the stock clutch so I think I will be content where I am at for now.
For $600 off dollars and about 30 mins of my time to install I can speak highly enough of the JB1 unit. Anyone on the fence about getting a tune and doesnt want the chance of the TD1 flag, this is a pretty good option as its totally removable in about 20 mins.
Have any of the R or GTI owners with a sunroof done anything about their see-thru sunroof shade? All my others cars with sunroofs have always had solid shades. The R has a semi see-thru shade which I would like to completely block out. I like to have a dark cabin during sunny days. I have got the windows tinted to 35%, although I regret not getting the tint done a shade darker to 28%. At the time I was worried about the little triangles, as the tint man told me that he was unable to tint them.
So has anyone modded their sunroof shade?

I thought it'd be a problem too, but after surviving last summer without additional tint it was fine. Ie/ existing sunroof shade I found to do the job.

I had a closer look at the shade today, and I think it would be a bit difficult replacing the shade itself. I can see how the perforated shade could be handy in summer with the sunroof wide open. I can see myself using it.
I think what would solve the problem for me would be limo tint on the sunroof as I do not drive around with the shade open and the roof closed. The issue with this is all the rumors about tinted sunroofs cracking etc which has me kind of hesitant to go down this path with a car that's a few months old.
An alternate option could be to find a tint shop that knows how to tint the little triangle windows in Adelaide. If I found a tint shop that could do this for me, then I would probably just remove my 35% tint and go 15-20% all around. I originally went 35% because I didn't want there to be a huge contrast with the little triangle window at the front and it looks good but on a sunny day 35% just isn't dark enough for me, especially with the sunroof shade letting in extra light as well.
