First bit of wet weather with quiet roads today since I bought the Mk 7 R. Power slides nicely on the Bridgstones. Computer let me hang it out a wee bit without going all nanny on me which was nice. Such a different car from the Mk 6. It would have understeered on that corner.

Just read on VWROC UK site that stage 1 tune/intake into 11's. 11.9 at 114. That was with Unicorn tune which is very similar to APR numbers.

New R is great, but those rims gotta go, think anyone would straight swap for something else? you can see too much brake disc and I'm bored of keeping them so clean! Matt black next...

What's the R ride like compared to the GTI? Obviously more power and 4MOTION plus a bit more weight. I mean, in comfort mode for example is it more or less the same as the GTI? Or is it noticeably bumpier across all driving modes?
