It does read slightly higher than a rolling road dyno but is more consistant because you don't get any slip from the tyres on a metal roller especially if you get a big boost surge or make big power.
They have been using this style of dyno for a couple of years now.Last edited by team_v; 02-12-2014, 08:53 AM.

I don't think APR numbers unrealistic as I've read 2-3 other tuning companies stage 1 custom tunes with same power and one even more torque 550nm.
I heard that 540nm was max before clutch slipping on standard dsg. If true sounds like definitely need dsg tune to go stage 2 safely! Probably good idea to have even at stage one levels.

Release details are up.
Numbers verified in Australia on multiple cars by APR (including S3's), In the US & In Germany on a MAHA dyno. Believe the numbers
Please note that all the figures show as claimed by VW, then as measured by APR - both are documented in the data fields.
This is a huge release for us, nearly a year in the making, and importantly for the Australian sign-off, APR sent an large engineering team hear to finish it off (5 engineers over 3 weeks) in October.
Anyway,
APR - High Performance Development for Audi, VW and Porsche Vehicles.

When are you booked in? Very keen to see what you think of the tune.
I love the smooth power delivery of the stock tune, I'm keen to see if the APR tune ruins this.. Power is a great rush, but refinement and delivery of the power is just important.
Cheers.

Looking forward to seeing what it's like in practice. Earlier tunes on the EA113 were amazing at the top end but you had to be going at it real hard to get the best out of them. +1 for power but (in my opinion) driveability suffered a bit.
The above chart looks like torque and power suddenly go ballistic at 2500rpm. I'm holding out real hope for this tune.
Cheers.
