I find heel-and-toe hard to execute on the GTI's floor hinged pedal. How do you do it?

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Even if you got your license driving an auto you'd no longer be restricted to them after you get off your P's (in VIC) - although I believe that's changed now in the last year or 2.

We both got manual licenses before most if not all on this forum were in primary school, actually, most weren't bornLast edited by Candyman; 20-12-2012, 08:49 PM.8VSS2L/16 E9E9 XG MP SPP1 4ZD 6XK CSC5P with an extra free 10kW

DSG, more control, hands are where they should be.
Got my licenses in manual and auto and semi auto.
Don't use my HT these days.
Progressed from ageing tech to modern tech but still dirty my hands with manual when I must.Last edited by Candyman; 27-12-2012, 09:25 PM.8VSS2L/16 E9E9 XG MP SPP1 4ZD 6XK CSC5P with an extra free 10kW

There's enough steering wheel control with two hands and the occasional flick down to the stick. Steering is not the point. When I say control, I'm talking about controlling the engine, gear, speed, torque, balance...Click or tap --> MY13 CW Golf R | Manual | ACC (deleted) | 19" Black Talladegas (sold) | Satnav-Dynaudio

"Can't" drive an auto, but knows a manual has better control.
This guy should talk to F1 manufacturers. They've all gone to computer control with flappy paddles - how stupid they will feel when he tells them.Former owner of MY12 GTD with DSG
