Does your GTI or R attract the wrong attention

A few looks at my R in 3,500km but nothing out of the ordinary.

A lot different to when I drove the Alfa GT (black with red leather) for 2 years. I had people craning their necks to take a second look and on at least 10 occasions, people approached me to talk about it. Unlike the East Coast, the GT was fairly rare in Perth.

Yeah I know, but funnily enough I never had any trouble with it. As Clarkson says, everyone should own an Alfa at least once - I agree. There are a lot of reasons why the R is so much better, but I really miss the sweet engine note from that last ever Italian made V6, the VW isn't even close! By the way, I sold it because I moved overseas for 3 years.

hahaha.... I agree that Alfa has a certain personality not matched by any other sub prestige car (except, maybe Audi.....)

Not a golf (even though everyone calls it a golf!) but my Polo GTI just get's called cute...which isn't a word I want to associate with my car =( I keep seeing young girls driving around in them too which is pretty worrying haha.

BTW - my perhaps future son in law just ordered a Polo GTI, now that is a loooong wait! At least the guy has taste, so that's one in the tick column

Yes, the only cars I've been hassled by when driving the R are commodores and Golf GTIs.
Kinda fun though.
