MY12 Model changes Golf

Been reading here for a couple months, decided to join and heres my first post.

I can confirm MDI and Bluetooth are both standard on the MY12.

The dealer also said that if i want to order i have to by tomorrow or i cant order until next year, really??

Yes, MDI and BT will be standard fon MY2012 gti's. I have it confirmed form 2-3 dealers too!

I would say "not true" to your question. To me it looks like the dealer is trying to sell you the car and make money!

A good dealer won't pressure you into buying. My Golf R is now the 2nd brand new car I've bought - this, and my last car (200SX) I bought from dealers who were like "There's the deal, up to you if you want it. I'll be here if you do want it. But take your time." If they start to pressure you into a deal, it's a good sign that you can probably get a much better deal elsewhere. If their deal is the best - there's no need to make you sign straight away - cause they know you'll be back.

That won't be a great loss unless you are interested in traffic lights GP or are you are going for big power via upgrades

For me, a big incentive to trade up to the R from the GTI I am considering is the 4Motion. I love how my old Evo and (soon to be ex) R35 handle at the limits with 4WD traction. Take that away from the Roc and still making it the same price as the old Golf R 3 dr seems a real shame.

The "roc" never had AWD AFAIK... BTW I think the term Roc is used by Chev Camaro owners who have the IROC-Z version

Anyway, I am sure that the lack of AWD will be balanced by some additional equipment (ACC standard perhaps, or leather)

Does the MY12 Golf R have the new LED DRL within the bixenon lamp assembly? Or does it still have them on the bumper?

I've enabled the static cornering lights on my GTI, that uses a fog to illuminate when cornering below 45km/h (no xenons, so no adaptive cornering lights for me). I think this is a fantastic feature and a worthy use of the fogs. I miss it in other cars, and feel like I'm turning into darkness.
