Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

No worries mate. Will be back this weekend.
My engine cover badge is somewhere between Brisbane and Salt.
Serves me right for rushing to put it on without an alcohol wipe to remove oil and dirt first ....
Will see if I can get a couple for us.8VSS2L/16 E9E9 XG MP SPP1 4ZD 6XK CSC5P with an extra free 10kW

I also got two badges like the one you showed but in stainless and with blue enamel shadow (off eBay). I am giving one of these to SF as I have no need for it.Last edited by Candyman; 07-10-2011, 07:02 PM.8VSS2L/16 E9E9 XG MP SPP1 4ZD 6XK CSC5P with an extra free 10kW

P3 Gauge, other minor stuff. Nothing too important. Only just got home. Kinda tired after 10 hours of driving and unpacking. Was a good trip - no mishaps (stone chips, windscreen damage, flat tyres etc)
Car returned 7.8 l/100km on the way home without even trying (which included 2 days around Kinsgcliffe of sightseeing - ie twisties). Had a big detour before Benalla due to the major truck accident. We were lucky to get through before the 5 km queues started !
Car needs a wash - tomorrow.8VSS2L/16 E9E9 XG MP SPP1 4ZD 6XK CSC5P with an extra free 10kW

Yes mate
Even after only the 3000 km we put on it, the engine has clearly started it's life and improving.
I see no need to change the car in anyway. In the city, on the freeway and on the dirt/gravel, it didn't fail.
Simply superb. The DSG also was faultless. such an improvement over our MKV
Can't believe how much better it is overall than out GTI. such a great car. Definitely a keeper.8VSS2L/16 E9E9 XG MP SPP1 4ZD 6XK CSC5P with an extra free 10kW
