i was looking to get the clear sill protector for my golf R. the dealer just said that they have had a few people come back with bubbling and is advising against adding it to the car. Is this common issue?

If the rear clear sill strip is installed properly, it shouldn't get bubbles.... that is unless the owners are using high pressure water cleaner (even a strong water stream from a hose and nozzle) and not being careful in the rinsing of the car during the wasting process. If you're blasting water around the edges of the clear "sticker", then you can lift it.
If that's not the case, then the product is just crappy or the installation is crappy. You could always get this done (and probably cheaper) by a company that installs Paint Protection Film, since that's all this is really.Comment

Yeah just had them fitted today to show them it wouldn't be a pain!
Really happy with the inner side grill being painted white looks great , better pics soon

paint matched grill surrounds as I really like the look , and 3 black fins - 3 adidas stripes.. haha ;P
R skirts were dropped off today thanks to Oli! so that was just a bonus!

yeah! they were just dropped off today, I wanted to test fit them to show they would not be a pain in the ass (aka aftermarket) for the place to install them, so they are $290 to have them painted.. not too bad!Comment
