Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Corey (or anyone who can explain this for me)
I understand this is factory researched and endorsed fix - my logical mind however does not understand how a clip that puts pressure on the actuator rod joint (to suppress the rattle) cannot in some way have an affect on the freedom of movement of that joint. If this is the case, would that not then affect the action of the wastegate to limit (even in a small way) the closing and (God forbid) opening of the wastegate?Redline3345 MY11 Octavia vRS Wagon TSI DSG | Brilliant Silver | Milltek cat back exhaust | Bilstein PSS10 | TSR Panorama | Remsa | Leather | Sunroof | Towbar | Front Sensors | Boot Protector | Xenons | Corner Fogs | Alarm | Extended Warranty | Superskoda Bits & Bling

@Ooj
There are warnings not to overstretch the clip. Could be the techie fitting went to far opening it over the rod/hinge bolt as it was fitted.
There are dimensions. Max. Opening of the clip during fitting is 14.0 mm. When fitted it should be 10.5 mm open. These dimensions are between the upper and lower parallel faces of the clip.VW SCIROCCO 1.4TSI - DSG (MY2010) UK, East Cheshire.
