Thanks for the responses guys.

The RX350 actually does accelerate well from a standing start, although you don't feel it, given the size of the car, and its silence!
Where it lets me down a little is in overtaking.

More to do with the relatively slow kickdown on the auto...

While the Mk6 was officially at 6.9 I recall Motor got a particularly nice example (in friendly conditions) down to around 6.2 in stock DSG form.
