One of my brake lights has blown. It's the right most one. The car is only 15 months old, wonder if I will have any chance of getting them to do it for free..... I don't think it would be expected for a light to go so soon.
Any idea what the brake lights are worth? Is it more expensive/difficult because it's LED? I assume I can't just go to Auto One and buy a globe like I normally would?

Back on topic, the forum is all about people caring about what others do to their cars. Not much point to a car enthusiast forum otherwise.

Anyone know if the R has a noisemaker into the cab like the MKV GTI had and if so, how much does it add to the intake noise. Always surprises me how different the intake noise between the two vehicles is

Yes, because everyone who doesn't leave their car stock standard is a hoon and is going to be an idiot.

Bit of news for you. Anyone in any car can drive like a ****. Having a sense of moral supremacy about leaving a car stock is, frankly, a bit pathetic.

My car is stock. I haven't decided if I will upgrade it a bit or a lot or not at all. One thing is for certain. It won't change how I drive. I have had stock cars, I have had modified cars. I have come across bad drivers in stock cars, in modified cars, in red cars, in silver cars.

To automatically assume that someone who remaps a car for maybe 15kwatw is suddenly going to become a menace on the roads is outstanding ignorance and arrogance.

It is the equivalent of saying someone who pays the extra for an R is automatically a hoon and treats the road as a racetrack because they could have just got a 77tsi.
