On another note I have had the car 2 weeks now and noticed the car creaks a little on uneven surfaces.. I read this is the norm, wat I want to know is does it get worse with age
Does this "creaking" appear to be coming from the B pillar area? I've had my R for 10 days now and after driving in the intermitant rain yesterday and today have also noted the same. To me, it appears to eminate from the rubber seal between the front and rear door. Only really been noticable since the rain.
Interested to know if the same thing is apparent on the 3 doors?

I'm experiencing exactly the same thing although mine seems more apparent with the door trims. I also had another annoying rattle sound which turned out to be my glasses in the overhead compartment vibrating when there was high engine load
Commodore drivers, particularly the one's who drive at speed through red traffic control lights, and collide head on with unsuspecting road user then bounce gleefully into 10 day old VW Golf R's rendering the useless and less than pretty... SUCK!!!!

You are Fkn kidding.. man that is heart breaking..is it a writeoff..?
Even with a new for old policy it makes it a long wait..
Current Ride: MY 16 Daytona Pearl Grey Audi S3- Performance Pack 1, Sunroof and Driver assist
Lets hope the wait isnt too long for a replacement.
Thanks to all.
Won't know about it being a write off until NRMA assess it tomorrow. Don't particularly like the idea of have a brand new car 11 days old with 800k's on the clock and $30k worth of repairs Everything forward of the firewall is either bent buckled or broken. Who knows what damage has been done under all of it.
Oh, sorry to hear about that... It looks like a write-off to me... Happened to me in September, got a 5 months old RS 200 written off after being t-boned by a lunatic driving on red light. One word of advice if indeed is a write-off: don't wait for the insurer to find your car for you. Be proactive, hunt for the one you want looking at dealerships allover the country and if you're lucky enough to find one make sure they get it for you!
